2020–21 — The rookie-era breakout

Pedri joined FC Barcelona from Las Palmas in the summer of 2020 and forced his way into the first team almost immediately. This is the rookie-era window every collector starts with. His earliest widely-distributed licensed cards land here across:

• Topps — FC Barcelona club issues and UEFA Champions League products, plus match-specific Topps Now commemoratives.
• Panini — La Liga issues and the flagship lines (Prizm, Donruss, Select, Mosaic) as they picked him up.

Five confirmed numbers land in this one season, which is precisely why “the Pedri rookie” has no single answer:

Parallels don’t get their own numbers — a Gold refractor of #61 is still #61 — so searching a number pulls the base card and its whole rainbow into one view. Two rookie-window cards are still missing a confirmed number (a Topps Now UCL commemorative and Stadium Club Chrome UEFA), both named in the checklist as awaiting a second source.

2021 — Euro 2020 and Olympic silver

2021 is the year Pedri went from prospect to headline. He started for Spain at Euro 2020 (played in summer 2021), reached the semifinals, took silver at the Tokyo Olympics, and swept the year’s young-player honors — the Golden Boy and the Kopa Trophy. That hardware is exactly the kind of milestone that pulls collector attention onto a name, and cards from this window carry that context.

The 2021–22 releases are where his card count really expands, and where insert sets start appearing alongside base cards: #89 in Topps Chrome (the signed rookie-era chrome), #FS-2 in Chrome UCL Future Stars, #16 in Stadium Club Chrome UCL, #U23-10 in Merlin’s U23 Stars, #130 in Mosaic FIFA Road to World Cup, #10 in Mosaic’s Give and Go, and #151 in Donruss Road to Qatar Optic. A lettered prefix (FS, U23) is the tell that a card is an insert numbered on its own checklist rather than a base card.

2022 — World Cup year

Pedri featured for Spain at the 2022 World Cup, which added international-tournament products to his card map alongside his ongoing club issues. World Cup releases bring their own chase cards and parallels, so it’s a distinct window worth searching on its own.

The tournament itself gave him a sticker, not a card: #ESP13 in the Panini World Cup sticker album, where ESP is Spain’s block and 13 his slot inside it. Stickers trade in a separate market from trading cards — different album, different buyers. The 2022–23 club season that followed is where the cards are: #136 in Topps UEFA Club Competitions 1st Edition, #33 in Donruss FIFA, #47 in Topps Merlin UCC, #62 in Stadium Club Chrome UCC and #133 in Chronicles Certified. A sixth number, #464, belongs to Topps Match Attax — a game product, not a card set, and one of the most-mistaken numbers in his searches.

2023 — Club core

By 2023 Pedri was a core Barcelona midfielder and a La Liga title winner, keeping him steadily in Topps’ Champions League and FC Barcelona programs and Panini’s flagship lines. No single tournament defines the year, but his cards stayed in continuous production.

Confirmed from this window: #52 in the Donruss base set, #233 in Panini Select FIFA’s Field Level tier — Select numbers its three tiers in different ranges, so the tier name is part of the card’s identity — and the promo #NTCD-S10 from Topps International Trading Card Day, handed out at participating shops rather than sold at retail.

2024 — Euro 2024 champion

The biggest milestone yet: Pedri was part of the Spain side that won Euro 2024. Tournament wins reliably lift a player’s card market, and Panini’s UEFA Euro 2024 products are the natural home for his cards from this cycle. Expect strong demand on anything tied to the run.

The confirmed 2024–25 numbers, though, are club issues rather than tournament ones: #8 in Topps Merlin UCC — one of the year’s most-listed Pedri refractors, and a reminder that Merlin re-draws its base numbers annually, since he was #47 two seasons earlier — plus #87 in Topps Inception’s Star Quality insert and #46 in Panini Obsidian. A Topps Deco “One Club” dual card pairing him with Aitana Bonmatí is confirmed as an insert, but no base number is published for it. His Euro 2024 issues are real and not yet numbered here: they sit in the checklist’s what-is-not-here-yet list until a second independent source corroborates a number.

2025–26 — Current

Pedri remains a first-choice Barcelona and Spain midfielder, so new cards keep arriving across the usual Topps and Panini programs. Current-year cards are the most liquid — plenty of fresh listings — which makes them a good entry point for new collectors before chasing scarcer rookie-era pieces.

The two Road to World Cup inserts sit on their own checklists — Pitch Kings at #12 and Magicians at #24 — and #12 landing one slot from base #11 is the single easiest mis-list on the current-season checklist.

The 2026 World Cup wave is Spain-kit rather than Barça-kit, which puts it in a different market from his club chrome: #80 in Panini Prizm FIFA World Cup (the tournament base card, with Silver, Wave, Fluorescent and image-variation SSPs all sharing it), #18 in the Aces insert, #13 in short-printed National Pride, and ESP 11 in the sticker album — the same per-nation scheme that made him #ESP13 in 2022.
