A mega box is a retail configuration, not a separate product line — the same set as the hobby box, packaged with more packs than a blaster and usually with at least one parallel finish printed for mega boxes alone. Panini and Topps both use the format across their soccer releases.
For a Pedri collector the mega box matters for one reason: those exclusive finishes are the only place some parallels of his base cards exist. The checklist slot never moves — Topps Chrome UCC #196 is #196 in every configuration — so a mega-exclusive parallel is a different rung of the same card, not a different card.
